A few months ago I directed this music video for the band, Savoir Adore and the web show “$99 Music Video”. I almost completely forgot to post it. It features a lot of “live-action animation” and other fun stuff that one can do for almost no money.

According to a new Pew Internet & American Life report, 57 million Americans watch online video every day, and 13% of American adults report they have downloaded video ads.
The Pew Internet & American Life Project’s first major report on online video also shows how many video viewers have contributed to the viral and social nature of online video. More than half of online video viewers (57%) share links to the video they find with others, and three in four (75%) say they receive links to watch video that others have sent to them.

Last night I attended the CNNIC 10 Year Anniversary celebrating 10 years of the .cn domain which was held to a packed crowd at the Beijing New Century Hotel ballroom in the Haidian district of Beijing, China.
I met a bunch of great people and learned quite a bit about the history of China’s internet ventures. Dot CN is the most common domain in Asia, and like many things in China has experiencing meteoric growth in the past few years.
I would like to invite all of our new friends and colleagues in China to view our Get Engaged Quickly site. The site is the same as the US version, but is served off of a different site than in the US. In China the functioning URL is http://getengagedquickly.com/local.
Thanks for taking a look. I look forward to learning more about the innovations taking place here in the China!

I’ll be attending the Future of Online Advertising Conference on June 7th and 8th in New York City. I’m looking forward to other people involved in this industry. If you’re going to be there, please let me know.
While it’s all interesting, I’m looking forward to these talks:
- How to guarantee the success of your online ads
- Adapting Advertising Models to Evolving Web Experience
- Ads in Online Video: Which Format Will Work and Why?
If I hear any any great insights I’ll post them here.

2007 looks like it’ll be a fantastic year for online video. Online video is so new, and still developing, so that nobody really knows what the future holds. What new sites and services will become popular? What viral videos will take the internet by storm? What will be the best (and worst) videos of the year? At 10ton we’re looking forward to see what happens, and to making a contribution to its ultimate direction.
